School Transportation Association of Massachusetts
The School Transportation Association of Massachusetts (STAM), represents professional school transportation providers in the Commonwealth. In association with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, STAM provides the mandatory training program which leads to the RMV-issued School Bus Driver Trainer License. In addition, STAM has traditionally served on the Registry's Student Transportation Industry Advisory Council. As a partner with the Governor's Highway Safety Bureau, STAM participated in the recent update and revision of the School Bus Drivers Instructional Program. These two volumes, the Trainer's Manual and the Driver's Handbook, were published by STAM in cooperation with the GHSB. STAM also provides an Advanced Instructor Course for School Bus Driver Trainers in conjunction with the Bureau. STAM is formally affiliated with NSTA, the National School Transportation Association and MASC, the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. |
